An accident car’s position can matter as much as the damage when planning pickup. A vehicle facing a garage wall or blocked by another car creates a different job from one in open space. Describe the site as it is now and leave the collection method to the operator.
Show the whole access route
Provide accessible photographs of the entrance, driveway and vehicle position. Explain narrow sections, overhead restrictions and slopes you know about. A street-view image may not show obstacles inside the property.
Tell the buyer which neighbouring vehicles or temporary items will be moved. Do not promise an open route if access depends on someone you have not contacted.
Explain the vehicle’s limitations
Report missing or displaced wheels, locked steering and any professional information about movement restrictions. Give observations already known; do not push, tow or test an unsafe car to answer the enquiry.
If the vehicle has been moved since assessment, say how its position or condition has changed. Photos from before recovery may no longer describe the loading situation.
Coordinate property access
Identify who opens gates and meets the driver. If you are not the property controller, arrange permission before booking. The person who owns the car and the person who can grant access may be different.
Ask the operator to confirm whether the proposed location is suitable and what preparation is required. Do not improvise anchors, supports or towing arrangements on the basis of an online checklist.
Keep the pickup window clear
Avoid scheduling a skip delivery or other work in the same space during collection. Update the buyer if another vehicle blocks the route or the car’s position changes. Confirm the new arrangement before the truck arrives.
Keep keys, included parts and requested transaction records ready through the agreed handover process. Collection suitability and the offer should both reflect the current vehicle package.
SA Wrecker’s accident car removal service can discuss the site. Request a vehicle assessment through cash for accident cars. Where appropriate, salvage car removal or wrecked car removal can be considered with the same damage and access information.
