You might request a quote while your car is at home and later move it to a repairer, storage yard or another driveway. The vehicle may be unchanged, but the collection job is different. Tell the buyer before pickup rather than assume the original arrangement follows the car automatically.
Explain where the car actually sits
Provide the current suburb and pickup address through the booking process. Distinguish an address for correspondence from the place where the vehicle is parked. An invoice address does not tell a driver which entrance reaches a workshop yard.
If the vehicle is moving again, explain the expected timing. It is easier to confirm a collection after its location is settled than send a driver to an address where the car is no longer present.
Recheck access at the new location
A wide driveway and an underground car park create different requirements. Send fresh access information if the car is now behind a gate, in a loading bay or surrounded by other vehicles. Include any height restrictions and site operating hours you know.
Explain changes in the vehicle’s mobility too. It might have been running at the first enquiry but now have a flat battery or removed wheels. Give observations rather than promises that it will be movable when the driver arrives.
Arrange permission and release
At another person’s property, agree on access with them. At a workshop or storage business, ask who can release the vehicle, where keys are held and whether anything must be settled beforehand. Do not assume the buyer’s offer covers a separate business’s charges.
If you cannot attend, discuss the buyer’s requirements for an authorised handover contact. A friend meeting the truck and a person authorised to complete the sale may have different roles.
Ask for an updated confirmation
Have the buyer confirm the address, pickup window and whether the changed job affects the original terms. Save the updated details alongside your earlier enquiry so the current arrangement is clear.
